“Laboratory Exhaust Systems, EC Motors and Pressure Control Applications”

The April meeting topic will be on Laboratory Exhaust Fan Systems and applications. Solutions exist from the simplest designs to the most sophisticated. Reducing cones, static nozzles and powered nozzles will be discussed. The presentation will also include discussion on EC (electronically commutated) motors and controls. The combination of EC motors combined with compatible controls makes demand based ventilation easy. I will focus on applications using a pressure controller connected to an EC motor for stairwell pressurization, dryer exhaust on multistory buildings, positive and negative pressure control.

Eric Tinglof has over 37 years of HVAC industry experience, with his last 22 years being with the Loren Cook Company. Eric is a regional manager covering Western North America. He is a voting member of the ASHRAE TC5.1 Fan Technical Committee.
